Everything brands ask before signing up
How is this different from a normal affiliate program?
Traditional programs live on a website page. Taffy lives on the physical product. Any customer can become an affiliate, and credit follows the product itself, not a code somebody has to remember.
Do customers need to install an app?
No. NFC opens a URL on iPhone and Android the same way a QR code does. They tap, the activation flow opens in their browser, and that’s it. No app, no account, no friction.
What if a phone doesn’t support NFC?
Every Taffy affiliate has a unique URL that can be shared. Older devices, locked-down phones, or anyone who prefers it can use the URL instead of tapping the tag.
Who pays the affiliate — Taffy or me?
You do, directly. Stripe Connect transfers the reward from your balance to the affiliate’s Express account on your rule. Taffy never custodies funds, so there’s no float, no escrow, and no surprise hold.
How fast can I get tags?
A typical first batch ships within two to three weeks of approving a quote. Re-orders are faster because we keep your artwork and chip spec on file.
Does this work with Shopify, WooCommerce, or my custom cart?
Shopify is one-click install. WooCommerce is a downloadable plugin. Stripe Connect captures Checkout / Billing events. For anything custom, a 5-line pixel and a server-side helper cover it.
What does it cost?
Tag hardware is quoted up front based on quantity and finish. The platform itself starts free for the dashboard, code generation, and Stripe payouts — you only move to a paid plan when your volume crosses our free tier.
Can I start with QR codes or links only?
Yes. After signup you can self-serve QR codes or links for free in the dashboard, run a pilot, and order physical NFC hardware later when you’re ready.
